Gratitude & Appreciation for All People In Life

A Birthday Reflection: Part I!

I believe today’s blog will follow a different format than my previous posts and it will be in two parts.

Why?  I just celebrated my birthday… an opportune time to change things up this week. Then I’ll go back to my regularly broadcasted schedule of “Tips and How Tos…” But don’t be surprised if some tips get weaved in today (I just can’t help myself)!

PART I

imagesCABH65ZNThose who know me know how fortunate I have been in life to always have the most amazing friends and people around me.

Sometimes I am not sure if I found them, they found me, fate, gravitational pull or the “powers that be” brought us together; for whatever reason I am truly grateful.

I feel gratitude, not just for the people who made my life better, but for those who challenged me, pushed me or were perhaps even unkind (hey people aren’t perfect we all make mistakes). Why? Because every single one of these people helped me grow to be the person I am today.

I know this is going to sound weird, but I am so flipping proud of who am inside and what makes me tick! I simply care about others and love to see people thrive and succeed. I also like to help others learn what they can do to achieve success!

I have all those people (and of course my family too) to thank for it.

The Good…

Those who love, support, push, mentor, guide us, we obviously know we value them. Even that one person who may come into our life even for just a short time (like a student, customer, service person or someone standing at the store in a check-out line) can make an impact on our day or life.

The Bad And The Not So Ugly

Those who are unkind or in our mind do us wrong… we must appreciate them too.

Why?

Because they make us stronger, sharpen our rough edges, teach us the issues and pain we feel has nothing to do with them, because it’s about us.

From these people we discover we have the power to understand why and what makes us hurt or feel bad during these confrontations or exchange of communication/miss-communication.

We Learn what we need to do to heal ourselves or find a place or person (expert, books, support groups, journaling, fitness, etc.).

We Learn FORGIVENSS!

We Learn to become stronger.

We Learn  how to problem solve and grow to be kinder and help others.imagesCA2C2V6Q   untitled

Next Thursday I am going to share how even my positive nature can get shaken (not too often but it does happen). Yes, getting over it does have to do with the amazing people in my life!

Part II next Thursday – To be continued…

Until then watch this video and make one to celebrate the people in your life: http://instagram.com/p/lggapFELBx/
